What is hurling?
Hurling is a fast-paced, Gaelic field sport of Irish origin, played with a wooden stick called a hurley and a ball called a sliotar. It's a team sport where two teams of 15 players aim to score by hitting the sliotar through the opponent's goalposts, either over the bar for a point or under the bar for a goal (worth three points). It's known for its physicality, skill, and speed, and is considered one of the oldest field games in the world.
